The meeting will start Saturday Afternoon immediately with subcommittee meetings to go over specific draft chapters. We will continue in subcommittee meetings Saturday Night and Sunday Morning and Afternoon. Then on Sunday Night we start our first of two full committee meetings. Monday Morning is our second full committee meeting.
The coordination meeting for the International Highway Capacity Symposium in Stockholm is Monday night, 7:30 PM, in the Marriott, Taylor Room.

By special dispensation from TRB, the committee rotation is being postponed one more year to April 2011. This is so that the committee can wrap up its work on the 2010 HCM before the rotation. The committee chair however WILL be rotating this April 2010.

The purpose of this group is to provide and/or adapt capacity and performance estimation procedures for the planning and preliminary engineering of multimodal highway facilities. This group is responsible for the planning applications described in Volumes 2 and 3 plus Chapter 2 (Applications), Chapter 3 (Modal Characteristics), Chapter 5 (Quality of Service), Chapter 9 (Glossary), and Chapter 23 (Off-Street Bike and Ped).
The purpose of this group is to promote the use of the HCM and to assist new and existing users appropriately apply the HCM. This group will be responsible for HCM 2010 Chapter 1 (Users Guide), have shared responsibility for Chapter 7 (Interpreting and Presenting Results), and will be responsible for Chapter 8 (Executive Summary).
