Getting to the hotel —
We recommend taking the Max Lightrail to get from Portland International Airport to Hotel Vintage Plaza.
Simply follow the signs through the airport to the Max Red Line stop, pay $2.30 / person, and get on the train. Trains leave every 15-30 minutes depending on the time of day.
Get off at the Pioneer Square max station after approximately 45 minutes, and walk 2 blocks north on Broadway to Hotel Vintage Plaza on the right.
Need a car?
As an alternative to renting a car, Zipcar car-sharing service is all over downtown Portland. Sign up in advance and have your access card mailed to you, or sign up and pick up it in person just a few blocks from the hotel. Then, you can visit the website to reserve a car and go get and use it immediately—no need for valet parking which is $31/day at the hotel.
If you want to rent a car, we recommend using the Max to get to and from downtown Portland, renting a car once you arrive downtown. Prices will be cheaper than at the airport, you don't waste gas driving to and from the airport, and you won't pay valet fees to park it overnight.
